My Transformers Toy Lore So Far

Ok so it starts normal

now they’re meeting lil pets

They’re getting used to their pets, plus new addition with Junkheap and his pet ❤️

Here we got the Waves meeting and hanging out while introducing their children to each other. Star is hiding from Skyquake. MegOp is just happening. Junkheap is in his own little world.

For some reason the Waves want Star’s opinion on which of their photos is better. Skyquake and Buzzsaw are vibing. Pets are having a meeting. Rumble and Ravage are fighting, and poor Junkheap is caught in the middle of it. Meanwhile, Megatron’s dragon pet is smothering him, and his boyfriend is trying his best. Eventually, they both succumb to forced cuddles with their dragon.

Finally, from left to right (so sorry, you have to zoom in, I’m reaching my photo limit 🥲).

Starscream chose G1 Soundwave’s photo, which annoyed Prime Soundwave. The pair are somehow tolerating each other. The Cassettes are not about whatever is going on.

Skyquake takes the first opportunity to get at Star, so he’s offering his sword to Prime Soundwave. (This simple gesture has accidentally flipped a switch in my brain, and now I’ve made a rare pair that doesn’t exist 😞. Can only rely on myself to satisfy this ship)

After that is ✨StarBee✨

Behind them is Meg’s and Op chatting, while Ratchet is glaring at them in the darkness.

I got lil mini figs of idw Megs and Op just hanging out.

Finally, is poor Junkheap being used as cover while Thundercracker and Skywarp spy on their brother’s date.

I really wish Transformers can be marketed like Barbie to be honest. I know if they do it’s probably gonna be more expensive than my own house but I want a box with more than just one or two Transformers, and maybe a gun or two. I want a box with one or two transformers and some plastic chairs from the Ark, some energons in a mug, five tools for different tasks, and then four to five different guns. On that note, I also want a transformer dream house. It can be structured just like their base in their continuity, or it could be structured like an entirely cartoony house where everyone got their own rooms and themes. And inside this house we got transformer chairs and tables and computers and a giant pile of energon and countless accessories like Ratchet’s tools, weapons, Wheelhack’s danger toys, etc.

I also want toy boxes based around specific themes and little moments. For example I want a toy that is exclusively about being in the med bay of Ratchet’s, with Ratchet, a surgery table, about 15 of his medic tools, maybe even a patient sitting on the table like a sad little Bumblebee with a little bandage on his leg, and a cardboard backdrop of the med bay.

the struggles of trying to figure out good alt modes for battleslash and roadtrap to where battleslash isn't towering over roadtrap, that way it makes sense they would be able to combine into 1 robot

I think it’s been hinted at, but has anyone seen the Nightshade toy in the wild yet and if so where? I thought tfw20005 had a teaser of it or something. It was like before the last episode batch.

just wanna remind everybody that transformers shows are not primarily or at all dependent on reviews... what they actually depend on is toy sales of stuff they are attached to. so if you want to ensure the show keeps going, buy the toys, or buy the show on dvd or itunes etc.! see this is why war for cybertron got three seasons released even though er, the show was not received well, because everybody wanted the mini masterpiece chug war for cybertron toys. all transformers shows are like this, a lot of shows for toys are. go check out To sell toys on tfwiki. reactionaries could not stop this if they wanted to either by review bombing or boycott, even they were gonna just, not be part of the fandom (assuming they were to begin with, a lot of the review bombers probably are not) because literally hastak does not care, they care about the fact they get revenue from toy sales and the fact people buy into the media, etc. etc., not to mention that they do have some cognizance of 'the community' as it were

My first GoBot toy, a black and red Crasher, arrived in the mail recently, and I had no idea these things were so tiny. They're barely bigger than a Hot Wheels or Matchbox car. It's honestly not surprising kids went with Transformers over these.

This isn't to say it's bad or worthless, though. It's impressive they were able to design these mechanisms in such a small toy that still work over 40 years later. I also really like the fine details and the fact that its' arms can be rotated a full 360 degrees around their axles. It's too bad I don't have any of those crazy Hot Wheels tracks or other accessories to test it out on.

We regret not being able to contribute to Nightbird Week but wanted to say it inspired to finally figure out how to do Cybertronian Sign Language, since the version of her we've encountered in a friend's TTRPG in which Nightbird is a major npc who helps out the party and has helped save the world made such an impression on us also mostly used nonverbal communication, and we already loved a lot of her canonical aspects and were elated to hear her voice acted by Michaela Jaé Rodriguez in Rise of the Beasts. If we had the spoons we would have made a chart already for letter spelling and common phrase signs / how they build their language from a (trans) robotic point of view (they don't have phrase signs for genders they spell those out to avoid bioessentialism/reductivity and otherwise use gender neutral language for the most part) and written a story life has just been hard this week and we've had to focus on taking care of ourselves. So we wish to simply say that we love Nightbird, very, very much <3 And yes the bot with the Solus Prime core head there is intended to be a Solus Prime stand-in (she should she big so she can completely envelop Nightbird with her hugs dkfasldkfj)

-*laughs in prowl* back in 2022 at TFCon Chicago the last panel of the con was IDW artists talking about the art experience, and someone asked how they draw the bots doing things or something like that, and Alex Milne said more or less 'well we have to use visual tricks of perception, for example Prowl's bosom on the toy would keep him from crossing his arms so you have to change the angle of things to make it work'

-Transformers is such a different world when it comes to gender and anatomy because Arcee can usually cross her arms across her chest just fine including IDW1 and Terminator Arcees who have the most protruding chest except for Q-Transformers Arcee whose torso is the chest basically but all the Q-Transformer cars are like that. Her girlfriend Aileron who is chubby and buff can cross her arms fine. Meanwhile on the other hand the average car Prowl (canonically a guy so far) with lanky big ankle proportions except for his massive and broad chest cannot do that. want to show this in toy form someday when we get an official or unlicensed aileron toy (our close to proportion accurate Aileron custom can't twist her arms sadly)
